Dr Greg Broesder
Greg graduated from the university of Adelaide in 1985. After working in Mildura, Mount Isa and Cairns he moved to Mareeba to start Mareeba Dental Centre in 1990.
During this time he started a family with his wife Dr Merrilee Frankish, who continues to practice medicine at Mareeba Base Hospital.
Over the course of the last 27 years the practice has evolved to embrace the latest in technologies, with improvements continuing as the technologies change.
Greg has been a leader in the use of CEREC technologies, being the first in Far North Queensland to utilise this technology. A past president of the Australian Society of Computerized Dentistry Greg continues to have interests in the dental industry.
In 2012 Greg sold the practice and worked in Cairns where he was in a large group practice, and part of the role was to mentor the younger dentists.
In July 2016 Greg bought the practice back and is here to stay.
Implants have been his most recent passion, completing the 12 month Master Clinician of Implant Dentistry course with giDE last year.
Implants are an important part of his practice, placing and restoring them from start to finish.
Education is an ongoing discipline and if you aren't going forwards, you are going backwards.
Greg's interests include triathlons, golf (immediate past president Mareeba Golf Club), fishing spearfishing, basketball (player and spectator) and underwater hockey, cooking and wine.
